Since the firm’s beginning, Kelly James and Associates has been involved in aviation accident investigation. We understand the complexities involved in this type of inquiry; we look not only at the root cause of an accident but we also scrutinize all related activities, producing thorough reports in which all contributing factors are explained.

A founding principal of Kelly James and Associates, Denny Kelly heads up the firm’s aviation investigations. Mr. Kelly, who holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) license, has more than 40 years’ experience in the field and has worked closely with the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and various commercial and regional airlines.

Additionally, Mr. Kelly is considered an authority on aviation accidents and has lectured on airline and aircraft safety, aircraft accident investigations and flight operations safety and security at colleges, universities and law schools around the U.S. He has authored articles on the subject and been interviewed by Business Week, Time and The Wall Street Journal.

Kelly James has an established track record of helping airlines and aviation companies establish safer, more efficient operations, introducing processes that help save lives. Within aviation, we can design, and then implement, the following programs:

  • Flight operations safety audits
  • Maintenance safety audits
  • Maintenance efficiency audits
  • Airline certification
  • Aircraft purchases
  • Airline manual reviews
  • Hiring program for flight crew and mechanics, which include background checks
  • Airline employee safety seminars
